BOSTON, Feb 01, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Orthofix International N.V. (NASDAQ: OFIX) (the Company) announced today
that it has contributed to the relief efforts in Haiti by making a
donation of its medical devices to charitable organizations involved in
assisting that country following the recent earthquake that occurred
there.
Employees at the Company's business units in California, Texas and
Verona, Italy worked with Direct Relief International and Operation Hope
to donate $1 million worth of its spine, orthopedic and bracing products
to the relief efforts in Haiti. Additionally, Orthofix and its employees
around the world are supporting the relief efforts with individual cash
donations to the Red Cross that are being matched by the Company.
